{"id":1939,"date":"2023-04-12T08:18:43","date_gmt":"2023-04-12T06:18:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clearorg.eu\/?p=1939"},"modified":"2025-11-27T15:37:49","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T14:37:49","slug":"endocrine-disruptors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clearorg.eu\/en\/endocrine-disruptors\/","title":{"rendered":"Endocrine disruptors : still hot news"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In order to improve consumer communications,<strong><em> the \u201cloi anti-gaspillage pour une \u00e9conomie circulaire\u201d (AGEC &#8211; the French reduction of waste and circular economy law)<\/em><\/strong> obliges anyone who puts consumer products on the market to publish the information necessary to ensure that consumers are fully aware of the presence of any substances that the <strong>\u201cAgence Nationale de S\u00e9curit\u00e9 Sanitaire et de l\u2019Alimentation, de l\u2019Environnment et du Travail\u201c (ANSES &#8211; the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health &amp; Safety)<\/strong> considers to be proven, presumed or suspected endocrine disrupters. This obligation does not concern medicines but does cover substances and mixtures used in cosmetic products.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contrary to the \u2018waste sorting-info\u2019 labels, and much to the benefit of the cosmetics industry, this information does not have to be labelled directly on the packaging of beauty products. It can be quite simply published on a webpage or mobile app.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of much-awaited decrees (currently planned for summer 2023) are expected to define:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The list of the substances identified as proven, presumed or suspected endocrine disrupters;<\/li><li>The product categories that present a specific exposure risk in terms of the target public, conditions of use, disposal method or other criteria;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Details on the content and presentation of the information to be published (internet page, mobile app, etc.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This information should be published for each individual product and no more than six months after the issue of the decree. Any failure to meet this obligation or respect the given deadlines will be punished by a fine as a fifth degree contravention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The European Commission has adopted the <strong>delegated C(2022)9383 regulation amending (EC) regulation n\u00b0 1272\/2008<\/strong> as regards hazard classes and criteria for the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures.
